German Gerhold family office acquires office park in Magdeburg

In July 2022, a real estate deal in Magdeburg, Germany was announced: the German Gerhold family office acquires the “Sirius Business Park – Neustädter Höfe“ business park. The office park is situated at Lübecker Straße 53-63 in Magedburg. Comprising of 32,000sqm of mixed-use office and commercial space, the object is a new addition to the real estate portfolio of the Gerhold family. The business park offers flexible space starting from 12sqm and further amenities.

Gerhold family office

The Magdeburg-based Gerhold family office is based on the Getec group, which is a energy service provider, founded by Karl Gerhold in 1993. In 2017, EQT aquired a majority stake in GETEC. In 2022, EQT and the GETEC Energie Holding (the Gerhold family office) sold the company to IIF. Apparently, the Gerhold family office diversifies its assets now by focused real estate investments in its hometown Magdeburg.
